Competition Portal - add a person, available features

1. This tutorial shows how to invite a person to the Competition Portal. The Competition Portal is where League Admins can view whether officials have been assigned to matches, match scores, and approved match and incident reports.
2. In the Assigning Portal, click Competitions.
3. For this example, we will invite a person to the Competition Portal for the League Championships competition.
Click the magnifying glass next to the Competition.
4. Click Competition Portal.
5. Click Add Person. You will need the email address of the person you want to add for the next step.
The person can be in the Directory of your account or an external person not in the Directory.
6. Click Email Address.
7. Type in the email address of the person to invite to the Competition Portal and click Check Email.

8. If the person has a Ref Insight profile, it will find and display them here. Click Send Invite.
9. Confirm you want to send an invite to this person by clicking Send Invite again.
10. If the person does not have a Ref Insight profile, type in the Email Address and click Check Email.

11. Since this person does not have a Ref Insight profile, we will collect some basic information.
12. Type in the First Name, Last Name, Title, and Phone number of the person you are inviting.
Click Send Invite.
13. Confirm by clicking Send Invite again.
14. The invitation is sent to the person's email address. If they do not see it in their Inbox, have them check junk/spam folders and make news@mail.refinsight.com a safe sender.
15. The email notification contains the name of the competition, as well as a hyperlink to log into the Competition Portal.
If already activated on Ref Insight, they will use their existing email and password. New users will create a password upon login.
16. For existing users of the Assigning Portal, the Competition Portal can be accessed from the top right of the page.
17. For existing users of the assigning portal, use the same credentials to Sign In the Competition Portal.
18. Let's now visit the Competition Portal.
The Competitions the person has been invited to will appear in the Competition drop-down list.
19. The Competition tab shows the schedules, assignors, and basic match summaries for this Competition.
20. The Matches tab displays a list of matches. There are filters at the top of the page. Sorting and filtering can also be done through the interactive menu.
The Referees column shows how many officials have been assigned.
21. Let's look at a Competition that contains approved match reports. Match reports are approved from the Assigning Portal.
Click approved for the relevant match to view the match report.
22. Use Show All to see all the sections of the report, using the scroll bar to move from one section to the next.
23. To focus on one section, click that section. This example focuses on Match Report. Click the arrow next to Additional Details to see other items the Referee has filled in.
24. Additional Details includes feedback from the Referee about field conditions and conduct of various participants.
25. Click Cautions to focus on the area listing the cautions issued in this match.
26. Click the magnifying glass next to a caution to see the items for that caution in a stacked view.
Click Send Off to go to that section.
27. This table displays the most pertinent items for a Send Off.
To view all the items entered for the incident report, click the magnifying glass next to the relevant send off.
28. Additional items relevant to the send off incident report are displayed here.
29. A PDF of this incident report can be saved for offline viewing using Ctrl-P (Windows) or Cmnd-P (Mac).
30. Other incident reports can be viewed by clicking on the category.
31. Click on Show All to return to the comprehensive view of the match report.
32. Click the cancel button to return to the list of Matches.
33. Any column heading can be sorted or filtered.
34. One example is filtering for a specific Home Team.
35. To download or email a report, click Actions.
36. Click Download.
37. Format options for downloads are CSV, HTML, Excel, or PDF.
38. To send the report as an email attachment, move the Send as Email toggle to the right.
39. Enter the recipient's email address in the To field, along with any addresses needed in the Cc or Bcc fields.
40. Type in the Subject, a message in the Body, and click Send when finished.
41. Click the X to remove any filters.
42. Click Actions to use the interactive menu to adjust the order of columns, additional filtering, or other actions.
